About us
We started in business in 1799, trading as Irvin Sellers in Liverpool, this business imported timber from North America and Scandinavia, in the early 1900's Lawrence Keizer also started a plywood importation business.
Through a series of mergers and acquisitions during the 1900s we became part of Meyer International Northern Ireland. At that time there were three companies trading in Northern Ireland - Irvin & Sellers, Keizer Venesta and JW Jacob.
In 2004, JW Jacob was sold to another company and the two Belfast Companies were bought by a local management team. In January 2007 we opened Northern Hardwood in Dungannon to supply many of our customers with hardwood products.
With a long a distinguished history, we have acquired extensive knowledge of the timber industry, a robust supply chain and enviable reputation as a supplier of hardwoods, softwoods, panels and decorative surfaces.
Now, as part of the James Latham Group – a company with a 265 year history, full UK and Ireland coverage, and an extensive product portfolio – we are proud to be a leading supplier of timber and panel products to a wide variety of customers.

The Environment
We understand and recognise that it is important in business to have environmental considerations, to enable a sustainable, safe future.
We stock products that are certified, meaning they have their forest of origin independently inspected and evaluated according to environmental, social and economic criteria.
We also stock products that have been produced under the Programme for the Endorsement of Certification schemes (PEFC) and the American Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI).

Graham Knox
Managing Director
Graham started with the business in 1988, originally working in Keizer Venesta selling sheet material. Prior to the management buy out he served as Sales Director for the group from 1999 - 2004 and was a salesman for Irvin and Sellers from 1991 to 1999. He Studied at Ulster University for a BS (Hons) in Business Studies and a Post Graduate Certificate in Marketing.
Peter Elwood
Director
Peter has been in the timber industry since leaving school in 1984. Initially he was employed by William Davidson (Timber) and transferred over to Irvin & Sellers when Davidsons joined IJK Timber Group in 1991. He started working in dispatch, he soon got the opportunity to develop his talent in sales and has been looking after customers and searching for new products since May 2004.
