Description
Sonaepan Novolac is a medium density fibreboard for interior use, with low formaldehyde emission (E1 class) and suitable for deep routering applications. Regarding reaction to fire and according to EN 13986, Sonaepan Novolac, with a thickness ≥ 9 mm, is classified as D-s2, d0 (Euroclass definition by EN 13501-1).
In addition to technical performance Sonaepan panels are sustainable and environmental products.
Applications
Sonaepan Novolac is a very versatile product and is the ideal material for designers and manufacturers. With an adjusted density profile, the product can be used for production of three-dimensional structures for furniture, doors and interior fittings, and meets the stringent profiling demands.
The surface remains stable and smooth even with deep routing, and can be subsequently lacquered or coated.
Sonaepan Novolac can be used for manufacturing furniture, decoration and shop fitting, and also for wall cladding, doors and other demanding interior applications.
Recommendations
Boards must be stacked on a hard, level surface and protected from direct contact with water.
Expansion and contraction in wood products is directly related to moisture content and must be considered during design and construction.
Wood based panels are biodegradable and can be recycled, follow local regulation for the disposal of residues.
